I've bought myself a new helmet as a treat. I didn't need one because I've got a very acceptable AGV race spec one, but I wanted something a bit retro-y so I could pretend to be cool.

And even though this new one is none-more-retro (it's even named "Seventy Five" after the year when the style was popular) it's impressively made of a Kevlar/carbon fibre composite weave so weighs a scant 1000g and should keep my face on the front of my head next time I fall off intent on smearing it along the road.

I'll find you a picture...

Quite sinister. "A bit Kylo Renn", was N's verdict.

They do a visor that fixes onto those three studs across the forehead, but I'm not sure what I think of that so I'll just get goggles.

Yes, goggles are a better bet on that, agreed.

Bell do a well lush retro helmet:

Don't get me started on retro helmets! I've been looking at any and all of them for the last few months.

I'm just glad we're all adult enough to avoid the inevitable helmet jokes.

Deuts's Bell looks great though.

The Bullitt is a smashing helmet, and deut's one is carbon. So very expensive, over five hundred quid.

I think the 'Bolt' design looks best out of theirs, especially in this colour;

But I wanted something plain, because I'm a dullard.
