It doesn’t owe me anything and is built like an actual tank. It’s every bit as good as my Omega really, and has some sentimental value so would hate to lose it in the sea to a cheap strap.

Just catching up with this thread. I have a cautionary tale to tell. I lent my PRS 18 to Wolverine Minimus on a windsurfing holiday. It was on an Obris Morgan isofrane-a-like strap, good enough quality, but I came back to the beach to a tearful boy who had lost it to the Atlantic Ocean. Neither of us knows if the strap failed or a spring bar failed, but I won't take any watch watersporting that isn't on a nato or Zulu strap. The nylon washes well, is practically indestructible and if one spring bar fails there is a good chance the watch will be saved by the other.

Since last on here I've also gone a bit overboard with watches......I've bought/traded...
Oris Big Pointer Bronze
Oris Williams F1 Lefty
Omega Dynamic circa 1980's Chrono
Eberhard scafograf super 500 Circa 1970's
U-Boat Silver
Gerrard Peregaux Sea Hawk
A bunch of Seiko's incl some home-made.....Two Tuna builds, Oris Turtle etc.
As a result I now have a total of 74.....most of which are cheap (Seconda/Accurist/Rotary) but aesthetically pleasing and mainly all waterproof.

I just bought this lovely Seiko based (7002 mech I believe?) with fish-bone hands and mother of pearl.
