The Writing's On The Wall - Graffiti

Post by TheCaseAce @ Tue Oct 13, 2009 11:11 pm

I love good graffiti and other public art.

Shite graffiti is, of course, vandalism. Writing 'Daz' on every wall in town deserves a punishment equivalent to being put in the town stocks and having potatoes thrown at your head.

However, good graffiti is brilliant. Please post some here.

These are from my recent trip to New York.

Not technically graffiti, but good wall art

And finally... the very wonderful...

I love the old wall-adverts.

But I can't find a way to love murals, scribbles, or other wankery.

If I ever meet "TOX"...

...But still you won't surrender...

Even the mongiest scribble is an improvement over a sterile dead concrete wall. It's a bit of life, an assertion of individuality against the Orwellian faceless blankness. I don't get why people get so worked up about it.
