No cheese, just onion, garlic, chilli and fresh tomatoes.

Thankfeck for that . I thought the bits that look like thin rice were grated cheese.

Now as long as it was cooked al dente I'll cancel the hit on you.

The white bits are crab meat.
Of course it was al dente and also with slightly too much chilli for the kids so I got to eat extra!

Obv NZ is far behind UK in almost everything so we have only just tried Hello Fresh (its prob been out here for a while but it hasnt interested me before). It was actually Mrs NNK who ordered it, not exactly sure why as I do the cooking and dont mind going to the supermarket every or every other day.
The first week was quite tasty and gave me some ideas to include in my usual dishes but the next week was a let down. Veg wasnt that fresh, beef missing and a couple of the dishes were a little bland .
The warmer weather is nearly upon us too so salads and bbq's will be default meals soon. Sorry HelloFresh, its over.

We eat a lot of cheese in this house of a wide variety of types. Which is good. But Mrs Dirk has just bought some of this and I think it may be a step too far

ID look away now, you've been warned.

I made pizza! From scratch!

Made the dough, then prepared the pizza.

Then I got a frying pan really REALLY hot and put the pizza in the pan for a few minutes until the bottom was done and the dough was done (couple of minutes), like having a pizza stone but not quite. then transferred the pan and pizza to under the grill for a few mins.

Was pretty tasty. The tomato sauce was just out of a jar and pretty bland so I added some basil and garlic into it.

How'd you cook it - poached?

More seriously, it looks a decent first stab but not baked hot enough.

Unconventional but I’d eat it. PizzApp is an excellent resource for working out ratios for ingredients.

To get the proper 2003 bachelor pad experience look you need those square plates to be black.

Well done Stuart. My son sometimes cooks us pizza from scratch, when he's feeling creative and if the PlayStation's not working for some reason.

His look like Pizza Express pizzas and taste terrific because he puts custom toppings on to suit who he's making them for. Which means I tend to get jalapenos and slices of spicy meat.

He's 13.

I wasn't happy with the burgers we sell so I told the chef to make them from scratch.

It also seems that they are cheaper to make like this than to buy the horrible pieces of frozen shit we used to sell.
And although I don't eat burgers normally (hence selling shit) it tasted as good as it looks.

I don’t think it looks too bad and I don’t even eat burgers. However, I would probably want to see some mayo, cheese, bacon or something else to add a bit of oomph to it. Also, what about a brioche burger bun rather than just a plan white roll?

I think that we need to remember ID’s target market view the iceberg lettuce and slice of tomato as either the height of sophistication or dangerous vegetable matter.

The meat itself looks fine but does need serving in a more pleasing manner to appeal to anyone not living in the valleys

Poor ID. Makes something for rate my plate and gets burned for it!

I’m sure it tasted lovely but might’ve benefited from a few condiments I reckon.....
