What are you listening to?

We all love to talk about music.

My daughter named it Sun On A Monday Morning which scans well with the notes in the chorus and one day it may even have vocals (not mine). Dis' contribution, much like Sean Parker in The Social Network, was to add brackets to the title to make it authentically 80's.

Seems to be a typo in the video title in youtube "Sun (One A Monday Morning)"

I don't mind admitting I punched the air when I got the jet to hit the note at 1:30

Very much the sort of music I'd have had on while 'passing to the left' at Uni in Bristol

I like that - it's the late 90's and I'm in my Uni bedroom listening to it with a can of full fat coke and some salt and vinegar hula-hoops.

Glad you like it. That one was about 50% loops and 50% me.

Another one for the puff-puff-pass 90's Bristolians

Before you listen to the track check out this riff I added to the chorus. Who does it remind you of?

The riff reminds me of Portishead, specifically the song Glory Box with the “shimmering” effect.

I was thinking Morcheeba, but yeah - definitely a 90's chill-out vibe going on.

Do I win a seat in the Royal box with Deuts and Steve Pemberton when you play the Albert Hall?

On that note whilst I really like electronic music I have no desire to go watch somebody do it in a concert.

Bonobo makes his music in a studio but he tours with a live band so that's different (and very excellent) but a guy just standing there twiddling knobs and pressing buttons on stage would be pointless to me.

Your best one yet Teeks - fairly sure I listened to that in the 90's whilst getting off with a girl from Bristol Uni who was on the same course as a mate of mine (Micro Biology, little snippet for you there)

Evocative!

Thanks. Really fun to make and I’m only really producing it for myself but it does feel nice when others enjoy them.

More me

This is probably the most polished and “grown up” track I’ve made so far imo. Also my favourite video which has a >adjusts cravat< narrative. Not easy to do when the footage is filmed by two different people but it’s >adjusts penis< very rewarding.
